You can choose whether to learn to drive in an automatic or a manual transmission car.
Learning to drive in a manual car can take longer as you will need to master clutch control and have to learn how and when to change the gears. For anyone with limited mobility or a disability, an automatic car could be better to learn in as they are easier to control. Although, learning to drive in an automatic car may be easier it will result in having a driving licence that allows you to drive automatic cars only and not manual cars. A manual licence allows drivers to also drive automatic cars.
James Lyn School of Motoring offer both automatic and manual cars. Below are the cars that we currrently use to teach.
